Happy Diwali! Needless to say it was an incredible night with all of you who came, food, Ribena, henna, candles and the photo booth. We really hope you enjoyed it as much as we did and see you at Christmas! ❅
Although it was cold and rainy night in Stockton, the fireworks lit not only the sky but also our hearts (we've attached a short video of the display we took). As well, did everyone enjoy setting things alight as much as we did? It was a night to remember and as always, hope to see you soon!
This year, we had our Fresher's Welcome Dinner at Vadah in Stockton! Despite the wind, we had an amazing time on the tour that ended at the restaurant. From Railway Lamb to Butter Chicken, there was so much food to go around with the buoyant atmosphere. Thank you to those who joined us and we hope to see you soon!
It was fun seeing everyone at our Botanic Gardens. What better way to spend the day but with friends, food and green!
Our email is currently under servicing so any queries sent to the durhamsingsoc email will not be entertained for this period, much to our dismay.
BUT, all is not lost! If any of you have any queries at all, do feel free to post them up on our Facebook freshers' page (access to it is on the fb logo on the top right hand of this page)!
If you're here, you're probably interested in applying for Durham University, or have received an offer from UCAS. Regardless, we welcome you to email any queries to our Public Relations Officer, Ada Tan at email@example.com. :) She will be able to answer any questions under the sun - from important details like school fees, our school's reputation and our truly unique collegiate system to the little (but no less important) things like the weather, what shops are available etc. No question is irrelevant! Moreover, we will be able to link you to students studying the course of your choice, or who have similar interests in sports, arts etc. as you.
We have attached a mini-prospectus by the Durham University Singapore Society put together with the intent of answering general questions especially pertinent to Singaporean students! In addition, a pre-departure booklet consisting of details on the visa application process and other pre and post-departure issues have been prepared to aid your journey to Durham, if you have already accepted your offer. Do have a look!
